Hello, my name is Jeri Venegas.
I’m a freelance illustrator, live event artist, and pet portraitist. Born and raised in Houston, Texas, currently based in Austin. I earned my BFA in Illustration from the Savannah College of Art and Design in 2020.
My passion for animals, curiosity, fantasy, and humor drive my work. I love to use intense colors, strong compositions, and magic to create my own lively characters and enchanting atmospheres. I use traditional acrylic painting methods for my illustration and portrait painting work for its tangible qualities and characteristics of being made by a human hand.
Outside of the studio, I like to see live music, hang out with my cats, and explore my city’s museums and parks!
